Im new to the site and have been reading through, there is alot of usefull infomation here. one question i do have is mt truck was in an acident before i got it. i just took off the moulding and badges on it. When i took off the drivers side i noticed that when fixed they sprayed clearcoat over the doors and never took off the mouldings. now there is a bump of clearcoat on my door. what is the best way to get rid of the clearcoat bump.

My guess would be a 1500 grit wetsand, then a 2000 grit wetsand. After sanding, give it a good waxing with a buffer or some elbow grease.

If you are trying to remove a bump, put the sandpaper around a block of wood (or similar). It gives a nice flat surface to zero-down on the area needed to be removed.
