Hey guys I love this site, tons of useful info that you cannot find anywhere else! I recently, as in 5 months ago, completed my first paint job on my car thanks to some of the info that I got on this site. I only wish that I had maybe bought some of the videos to help me visualize. I am fortunate enough however to have a hotrod/paint shop owner right next door to help me on my quest.
So far on the car I used these products:
Valspar 2K urethane primer
PPG 2k Black Base
Valspar 2k urethane clear
and some por15 in a few select locations
Ok so now it is 5 months after I have painted the car and so far I have wet sanded all of the runs/orange peel out with 1000 grit. I am wondering if I should go ahead and sand everything again with 1500 grit in this freezing weather or will I be able to buff it all out as is? Also if you do recommend that I sand out everything in 1500 grit could you also recomment the best way for me todo this without a garden hose(can't use in teh winter) because it makes washing away the residue quite easy.
Need a little insight
