When logged in and reading a topic, if you wish to respond to a prior post you can either do it by simply posting a response -- or you can use the "quote" button, which copies the other person's post into your response, too.

If you use the "quote" button please be careful to not re-quote massive amounts of information -- especially photos. You can manually delete that stuff from your response, before you post it. Use the "preview" button, to see what it will look like if you are not sure. Please use quoting selectively; in many cases the conversation flows nicely and re-quoting another member is really not necessary. When needed, it is a great tool to point out exactly what you are referring to.

Also, you can always copy and paste text from another member's post and use the "quote" markup button in the post editor here. The format is like this:
