Acme Finish one shows just using the clear and hardner. my question is can you use a little reducer in it so it will flatten out better? It don't say anything about being able to do this .Just wondering

have you got the data sheet, if it doesn't tell you their try google. most any clear reducer should work but check to make sure. 4-5 % in your clear will make a big differance in how it sprays :)

I have never had to use reducer,,,but I think you can go up to 10% if you have to have it.

I use that clear and like it a lot. I use the FC720. I actually use Crossfire reducer, or even Valspar reducer. Either one hasn't made any negative affects. Be careful spraying in cooler weather though, it will run easily with a good amount of reducer!

i use a medium reducer with it almost ever time i use it. 4 parts fc720 clear, 1 part fh612 medium hardener, 1 part medium reducer. i set my gun fan 90-95 percent wide with my fluid knob 2-1/2 to 3 full turns out from fully closed. 29-30 psi coming into my gun which is a Sharpe Finex FX3000 HVLP 1.3 fitted with a PPS Adapter and DevilBiss Regulator ... by the time it comes out the booth it looks great and saves me from having to buff and polish unless i want a really flawless show winning finish...

Nice work! Last time I bought a gallon (about 4-5 months ago), it was ~$100 for a gallon + activator, FC720.
