I'm trying to mask the rear side window off. My masking tape sticks just fine to the rubber window molding. However, I when I covered the window with paper, the masking tape would not stick to the masking tape that was stuck to the rubber. What do I need to do?
Masking tape won't stick to itself

,,yep,,,he is right. Get the good stuff.
You will regret using cheap tape! Once you make a pass with the spray gun and blow it up where the paint can get under it you will have a mess! "The number of parasites in the USA has now eclipsed the number of productive members of society"

I'm using masking tape from Harbor Freight. I also bought some (more expensive) blue masking tape from them as well and it doesn't seem to have this problem so I think I'll re-mask using it. |

Also clean the glass and rubber with laquer thinner good. I like the yellow or green 3M tape. White American Tape is ok too if you don't get it in the sun too long. Never argue with an idiot, he will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.

Some cheap tapes are ok but it's pretty much pot luck,1 box might stick fine but the next might be junk.
You pays your money..... |

Harbor Freight all the way. I ended up resorting to duct tape for masking. Today, I laid 2 coats of epoxy primer. I used the cheap $10 Harbor Freight gun. |
