I've noticed in a few areas on the car, and more so on the fiberglass, there is some debris in the 2K that scars up the sandpaper. I wouldn't have noticed while sanding except that it leaves a tiny dot of guide coat around them. Sliver of metal or some such, but not sure how such a thing would show up on the fiberglass? Moot point now, they are already there..

Anyways, how did you guys deal with these, if you've ever encountered them? I tried to sand them out, but no go... The only thing I can think of is gouging them out and applying filler, but obviously, I'd rather avoid them, I'm just scuffing with 600 now.

Thanks!

first, look at your equipment, something isn't right. secondly, you can try 320-400 grit, if that doesn't work, rework.
Captian OBVIOUS.

It's already happened, so that's the least of my concerns.. About 3-4 of these things on the car.. Mostly on fiberglass.

Take a razor blade and try scrape it out carefully, If you cant get it carefully dig it out with the edge of the blade and fill the small hole thats left with some glaze.

Before you spray any more, check your filters for debris. That metal might
be coming from your compressor...?

Ahh, I doubt it, but who knows. I've done so much cutting and machining in there, who knows where it may have come from. Compressor is fairly new.. Think I just have to be more anal about my prep for colour. I wouldn't even care so much, if I wasn't afraid it was steel and was going to rust!

Sounds like maybe slivers of steel or something you were grinding on got onto your surface.
