Got to get these beat up bumper covers done fast, dealers don't want quality...just production so they can get these cars back on the lot...since I have no experience using rattle can primer...what do you reccomend? :pcorn:

I wouldnt reccomend spray bomb primer, there are many 2k speed primers out there to use instead that dry very fast. Some spray bomb primers can wipe off with wax and grease remover or a strong waterborne cleaner like ppg dx-103.

I use this one occasionally,it's surprisingly high build but if you read the data sheet it says it takes 24 hours to fully cure which is longer than a fast 2K so expect some sinkage

seems to me the cost of rattle cans would add up pretty quick. not only that, i think my gun covers quicker than a rattle can.

They only come into they're own when you have a very small area to prime and it's not really worth mixing up some 2K.

That particular brand I have linked to has as much build as 2k,2 coats is all you need and you can block it down the same as you would 2K.
Like you say it wouldn't be cost effective for larger areas or regular use
