It makes the spray pattern more narrow and focused when I choke down on my guns. It makes a more round pattern that is very hard to control compared to WFO or WOT with a correct sized tip and a normal fan. Then again, I stand by what I said before that you can choke down a little and make your 1.5mm tip work for base/clear, but it won't be as nice as a 1.4mm.

Why's that? I'm sure everyone would appreciate to hear what you have to say about adjusting a gun since you've been spraying for so long. :) There's room for everyone on this forum....

Base needs a big tip size for coverage 1.3 - 1.7 , clear needs a smaller tip size for atomization unless you want to cut & polish.

Here we go again,,,Another incorrect answer.
You should use a 1.3-1.5 for base and a 1.4-1.5 for clear. You would NEVER use a 1.7 for base or clear...................
