You guys have really been making progress and both really look great. I think your Ideas on the engine bay of seal then shoot the color really saves a bunch of time. I also really don’t like all that tedious sanding. :goodjob:
Rob, it is amazing the number of great looking cars you have up there, I thought we had the corner of that down here in So Cal but all those cars are really impressive.
Dennis, not that you have any shortage of cars but I bet you will be glad to get the Vdub back on the road.

I have been working on the 38 and have reshot it (all but the TO DO body work on) in sealer primer and followed up with high build. . well I am a very inexperienced with painting and this was my first time to shoot high build. WOW it was like shooting stucco, for me real hard to keep a wet line and had no flow. Well I should have asked my friend but I didn’t :whoops: :whoops: :whoops: Boy when I told him he really got a big laugh and he asked did you reduce it? A very sheepish “no” was my answer. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Here on out I will reduce it with some S L O W reducer and I bet it will work better for me. Live and learn . . . . . speaking of learning I found that my work is blocking Photobucket (messing with the format) and not allowing any coping of the IMG links. I found that I could get the links from my IPhone copy them into an email and send the links to work. Not that would ever do this of course.

The 38 is looking great!! It's really coming along, can't wait to see it in color. I don't recall if you mentioned what the color will be?

I'm sure you're happy to get the Dub done Dennis, hope that's all iot needs for a long while.

How do you guys get anything done in the heat? Summer decided to show up last week, it was high 80's at the cabin, I'm running the chainsaw and I can't even see from the sweat pouring into my eyes :splat: :splat:

I still have the firewall, cowl and the entire right side to do but it should go easier than the driver side. Remember I had damage from the caved in roof and a hit on the driver side so I am hoping :splat: :splat: :knockout:

It has been in the 80's here and the evenings down in the 60's quite nice actually

Hopefully the rest will go smoothly Doug, don't need any unexpected surprises :flatten: :flatten:

I'm spraying the flat black on the outside of the inner fenders today. Not much progress but at least it's some small bit that'll be finished :goodjob:

Glad you are making some progress in the "done" department. I have notice that I have some bridging along some of the sheet metal trim that I can brake apart with my fingernail so it looks like I have allot of tricky sanding to do. :whoops: :whoops: I guess i have learned a lesson here but how come my lessons always require more work. :realmad: :flatten: :realmad:

I wont be getting anything done this weekend because we are have a birthday get together with about 50 guest so far. . . . :knockout: :knockout:

I'm not sure what you mean by the "bridging along the sheet metal trim"?

Oy, 50 guests, that's a lot of work :knockout: :knockout: :knockout:

I think it came out good, I don't want to notice anything in the wheelwells so I figured flat black was the ticket. I used Delfleet, I think it's a PPG fleet paint, quite inexpensive, sprayed easy and covered well :goodjob:

Looks great

I'll post a pic after I email it to my iPhone and then upload it to Photobucket :knockout: :knockout: :knockout: :rotfl: Then mail the link back and paste it here :allgood:

Here are the spots that bridged. they were very ruff with over spray thin I hit them heavy so there was nothing under to adhere to :whoops: :splat:
