Hi everyone

Just painted 2 alloy wheels with mini HVLP guns.

The finish though is really rough, almost like sandpaper to the touch?

Can anyone offer any advice on how 1) this is happening and 2) tips to prevent it.

Thanks very much :bighug:

Daz

ps this is my very fisrt try with the guns.....i'm a complete novice

Buy a full size gun and start over,,,the mini gun is for painting model cars and finger nails....................................

What were you shooting? Also what was the weather conditions like? Need some more information. It could be that the air pressure was set to high or incorrect or no reducer.

Hi

I think I figured out. I was moving the gun too fast and from too far away. Done the other 3 wheels now and all look pretty good.

Wrong temp reducer and too much air pressure.
