This is a bad picture but it is all I have. He doesn’t bring the riv to shop much. I will see if he has any good pictures and or next time I see it I will take some good shots

Looks good, I see it's a newer model than mine.
I had the back bumper, associated bits and tail light bezels rechromed. Sure is expensive up here, holy smokes Rob

Chrome is extremely expensive here in California also. I think they’re trying to run everybody out of the chrome business here

Quite a few years ago a friend of mine did all the chrome on his 68 Caddy, $8000 My Riv would be in that ballpark too When I go to the swap meets in Washington there's a couple chrome companies that go up there from your guys general area. You bring the core and they bring the goodies already done, they're really inexpensive compared to what I pay up here. I have no idea about the quality, I was told by someone it's all done in Mexico which would probably reduce costs and government hassles. Rob

Ya I found a few at the swap meets I go to that said they had some for cheap $300-$400 for front or rear exchange.
Which is cheap and I got excited till I really looked at there work While ya from 5 feet away they looked great! up-close was different Chrome wasn't triple chromed or didn't seam to look as thick or as deep as it should and I saw a bumper laying on there trailer that had some deep sanding or grinding marks that were chromed over wasn't so impressed. I think the comment is you get what you pay for. I go to a guy that is very expensive and he’s a melt polisher he farms out the copper nickel chrome. No matter what it takes he keeps building up the copper to make it as perfect as anybody can. Yes he is expensive but the work is beautiful. Very expensive!

Wow, you are so close Doug!! You must be going crazy with the end in sight, can't wait to see all the final pics. You're quite right about getting what you pay for, I'm picking up my chrome tomorrow, maybe not as pricey as your guy but plenty pricey. Naturally my parts are harder to chrome than most, I'll take pics when I have them and explain. Dennis, I think those chrome guys are probably the same as the ones I'm talking about. They're doing a great business, they bring a 100 or so bumpers up but they're wrapped so I've never seen the quality, but your price sounds right on. I think they quoted me $350 for the rear Riv bumper and that's less than a quarter of what I paid. Sure hope it looks amazing or I'll be one grumpy old man Rob
