thought this may help some people. it is from SATA but im sure can work with other guns as well,

That's pretty cool, Dave, but doesn't work for me.

There's no country specific choice for Australia, although if I choose Chinese as the language I can get data on the primer-surfacer that I use. Nothing on any of the base or clears that we have here with Cromax. Pity.

what solids clear are you using ?

MS.

For everyday use I use the Duxone Plus 2K Clear. TDS here

For better quality needs I use Cromax 696S. TDS here

Both call for 1.3 - 1.4mm, which is what I use. Clearcoat guns are Tekna, Devilbiss and one Iwata, depending on what kind of peel I have to match. I use mainly Iwata for base and Star for primers. All RP. No SATA, I'm afraid - couldn't afford one in the early days and can't afford twenty of them now.

so something around 43% solids ?

you would be about the same as DeBeer 1-204

Solid advice Dave. Not enough people looking at solid %, especially for primers. You know your stuff you should consider a career in this industry :rotfl:

lol not sure if that a joke... but been head painter for 30 years now i manage a paint shop in the Exhibit industry and we grossed 350 million last year
