Hood was the worse condition as far as paint failure. With one hand size area near the top center that needed a little filler and blocked flat.

Those were 38 inch mudders from the previous owner. I couldn't wait to yank them off, hate the look. Plus I wasn't wanting to make this an off road trailer blazer..lol, I went to a retro beach cruiser look with 35's and the 8 holes aluminum pro comp's

3 coats of base and 4 coats of clear. No runs, no drips, no errors ! Wanted 4 coats of clear since I was planning to wet sand then cut and buff.

Even a blind squirrel gets lucky and finds a nut once in awhile ... lol

I thought they looked BIG 38s thats impressive, I have a 4 inch lift on my CJ and all I can get on it is 33s I bought a set of 35s for it but they don't fit without rubbing I put them on my Power wagon.

I have had issues with My Shocks bottoming out bending my Shock mounts on my springs for unknown reasons.....(Thinking springs may be the problem) on my 2nd set of shocks and 2nd set of spring mounts now only had it in rocks twice! Shock mounts bend every time I have it out very frustrating.

Looking at gutting suspension going with "Rocky road Spring over axle lift kit" they claim 35s will fit with their kit. When I pull the trigger on it I will do a Full repaint on it frame up rebuilding / repainting everything.

This has a 6" lift total. Split between the suspension and body lift. Since I'm not planning on going off the road the body lift isn't an issue.

The 38's did rub on the front body skirts when turning, plus those mud tires crab walked when turning too. Just made it lunge side ways like 4" for every 2 feet moving forward it seemed. Thankfully I only drove it off the trailer and into my shop and that was the it, other than moving it in and out. I dumped them for $700 on offer up

Baking in the sun, next up..wet sand. I started at 1000, then 1500 and finished with 2000. Boy it was smooth as glass.

Last pic was after the new 35" tires and 35x10 Pro Comp wheels...so much better looking!

Now time to assemble back.

You can see that the passenger side tires are not white lettered yet. I wanted to see how it looked each way. I went with the white letters.
