I got a 2002 camry i needed to paint driver side front and rear door and a fender
i wanted to learn how to paint i was going to buy a 33 gal 5hp craftsman compressor and get to it
but today talking to a buddy online he showed me some pics of rattle can kit he did
he bought the oem matching paint cans
i was thinking of trying the spray cans out on something else and then if it goes good continue
but heres my question
I wanted a decent job done
is it worth it to do the whole system big compressor
also is it easier to mess up with the cans or the actual gun
thanks
oh yah if anybody wants to help im in the bay area

Rattle Cans are for wimps. Real men tie up countless dollars in paint guns and filters and large compressors!!!! :D

Seriously though, no rattle can paintjobs please!!! If you plan to do other stuff in the future go ahead and start buying some decent equipment. If this is all you plan to ever paint, just take it to a body shop, it'll be cheaper than buying all the "proper" equipment and it wont be rattle can paint. Let them use and store the big investment equipment if that's the case
