Test fitting rocker panel cover after some pull-hammer-dolly-filler work:
Image

Fine tunning with P220 with a round block. Various sanding directions.
Checking constantly wih hands (15+/- hours):

Fine tunning hood edge and fender. Again using P220 with various rounds.
Several applications of Evercoat Metal Glaze. About 10 hours on hood and
about 20 hours on fender.

After all the work "felt" good with the hands (eyes closed), shot 1 coat
of ********** epoxy, 2 coats of Transtar Kwik Prime, then sanded with P220
and shot 2 more coats of primer the following day. And after some paintin',
cuttin' (1000, 1500 then 2000 grit) and buffin' (all edges)...

I think I'm going to move to the West coast just so I can have you paint cars for me. Seriously.

That looks nice. It's good to see someone spending a little extra time on something to make sure it's right. :)

Ah shucks... :)

The bodyman gets sloppy at times so i pick up the slack (quite often).
I actually wanted to do a mini how-to (lost the pics though) with a HANdy
lil' tool made from scrap paint stick. It's so obvious, i'm sure to have
just reinvented it...

Lip service baby!

Han,
Nice work. That car looks real nice.
You need to put together a video and then maybe bondoking and some of these others will get theirs done.
ODG set the mark with his cut and buff technique. Us newbies are waiting for the AB101 Video Series. :)

I'm lazy and not very photogenic (i'm much more hansomer than pics show). :)

When Jeff finally gives up this site to me, i'll do some vids.
But mind you, i don't consider myself a full pro; just a decent
amature. Kevin tetz's videos are pretty darn good!

I think more people should post the time they have into their work... I am stunned to see the hours.... I guess i'll have to build more patience around my work, i don't have a quarter of Han's time into an area and i'm completely aggravated and ready to call it a night...

Han, as usual Great Work on an other very nice car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cool trick about making that lip tool, I will use that one for sure, Thanks!!

The most telling thing in the photos is that your hair is nice and neat with gel in it. One of the signs of a true pro is turning out great work and still being able to keep clean. :D :D :D :D :D
