Jim, Your car looks awesome/beautiful! What kind and brand of paint did you use? I can't wait to get some paint on my b-body. Cheers, Jay

PPG DPLF Epoxy Primer
Evercoat Uro-fill primer/surfacer
********** Epoxy Primer reduced and used for sealer
RM Diamont Base (great stuff by the way)
RM Diamont DC5300 Clear

Already bought my paint before learned of ********** products - next time ********** primers and clear. Going to stick with RM Diamont base products though since this was a dark green metallic and it went on real nice.

Everything is on hold right now while I try to pay down some bills.
The dolly was made from some spare parts I had laying around.
The wheels are from portable scaffolding, the uprights are from stands used to hold camper shells up when not on a truck.
The rear set up bolts to the upper shock supports and has a couple of braces on it to add stability by bolting to the exhaust hangers. The problem with that is I lost the height adjustment I had tried to incorporate however the car was plenty high enough at the lowest setting so it didn't really bother me.
I should add here that next time I will use a rotisserie to facilitate working on the lower portions of the car and saving my knees and back!

I like it simple and effective!
I hate the body dolly I made its a big square frame with casters that I put jack stands on then the car. It sits way too hi and the thing is way too short and the car could tip over easily. Not an Idea I like with my Prized Charger.

I waited 20 years to find it, nothing really special except to ME!
Just a 72 SE 440 magnum car matching numbers & a factory sunroof 8) It needs a complete restoration

When its your car it becomes a labor of love.
Here is what I started with:

Just get a good plan of attack, keep yourself motivated and it will eventually get done. Money is the big issue with any restoration. On TV they shell out big $$ to body shops, engine builders, upholstery guys, etc. etc. and then just "throw everything together" so it looks easy and quick.

At least you guys have projects of your own. I'm now looking for one
to collect dust too. :)
