I got some exhaust from Speedway. I extended it over the axle so it will have a mellower tone. The 90 degree elbows needed to be tighter so I cut several slits in the radius, pulled it tighter and welded up. I’ve got to remount the brake hose bracket now but no big deal. I bought some 4” stainless tips that I ran out behind the tires.

I’ve been doing a lot of tedious stuff along with some wiring. I attached the steering column wiring, dimmer switch and light switch. I also cleaned up a bunch of wiring. I installed the gauge lighting and added some different LED’s for turn and bright light indicators. I welded up the factory dash knob holes that I wouldn’t be using.

Used Slick Sand for the first time. I’m really impressed with this stuff. It sands really good.

I have never tried Slick Sand but have used the Featherfill G2 a number of times.

Yeah I was kind of afraid to use it because I had heard horror stories about it being like concrete to sand but that wasn’t the case at all. |

Got the doors mostly sand blasted before I ran out of sand. Had some rot to fix. Minor on the driver side but major on the passenger side.

Here’s the bear claw latches from Speedway installed.

The Speedway wiring kit had a parking light circuit for the front so I popped out the single bucket and installed some dual filament buckets for 1157 bulbs so I can have park and turn.
I also installed and wired up my horn. I had a horn lying around. I think it came from the Freestyle. |

Here’s my setup to lower the bed onto the frame.
