I Just scrolled through the whole thread myself. I don't have a clue as to how or why so many pictures are missing, out of order and repeated must be how camera numbers them and how PhotoBucket numbers them. weird One thing is for sure I wanna finish this project and My Firebird project and get them behind me I have other things to do.

Starting a new job in a few weeks that will help with the money problems.

I won't matter if the paint is peeling or chipping. Just heat a spot up and when it starts to soften your razor blade will slide under the paint. Keep the heat gun pointed just in front of the blade and start working your way across the panel. It should come off in strips that curl up and harden. I simply used the shop vac to clean up.

I have a razor knife like that I will have to try it see how it works but I don't wanna mess up the epoxy.

Well I started blasting the paint off with that new crushed glass I was talking about found a supplier out hear for it. there fine isnt fine as I would like but it does make short work of things without the environmental or health issues of a silica product.

http://www.glassblast.com/

Going slow with it keeping nozzle away from work and using lower pressure we are able to remove just the top layer leaving the Epoxy as planed, But it is going to require some hand sanding and another coat of epoxy before proceeding will try to get photos up this week end.

Nice project... I would definitely weld up the hole. Body filler is not water proof and will absorb moisture and cause you head aches down the road

Sorry Jim no been busy with daily drivers as of lately my car needed a clutch and my kid blew up his Mustang again and to add to it His girl friend blew up her Mustang.
So I am helping both of them.

Mike not sure what hole your talking about? I have some holes some one drilled years ago to hang exhaust I have to fix I already made patches for those and have to weld in.

Well we got all the Red all off now and got to get it back in Epoxy again and move forward.
The Manufacturer of the Paint replaced all products used with no argument and I have confidence knowing what went wrong and it not happening again going forward.
