The fender flares turned out great. I've seen some really tacky looking flares on other cars, but yours look factory. Very nice work.

Got the head light splash shield patch in, welded and ground down. Its OK, not brilliant but will do the job and also welded up the badge emblem holes.

Now I have the fender hung and just trying to get it all lined up with door and hood but I think I need to readjust my door ever so slightly........this part is so time consuming but as soon as I am happy with how it all sits then I can move on and flare out the fender.

The left hand fend looks like it may have more rot in the lower half but this time I am not going to muck around with a small patch, I will probably cut the whole bottom half off and weld on a new lower from the repop fender.

Well with this nice weather I got in the garage and got some more work on the Stang done yay!! With a lot of fiddling and tweaking I got the right fender hung and fully bolted in place, I have some shaving and build up to do on door gap but nothing serious. I then proceeded on marking out and cutting the flare for widening. After a lot of measuring and checking I cut it and got 2 patches in place. Tomorrow I will get it all welded and ground and then move onto the left fender.

I need to order some more rage body filler and some panel adhesive for the head light extensions. While I am at it I will get some window trim screw in studs off a 65' Stang to fix the broken one I have. Mean while some pics of today's effort.

Nice metalwork. The way your doing it will look like its suppose to be there. I dont like the ones that interfere with the body line on the fender.
It makes me wish I had done that on my 68. I still could but I am going forward with what I have.

Did not get as much done as I would have liked due to unexpected interruptions but was pleased with results thus far.

It has been a little slow going but got the flare all welded up and 95% ground down, will finish tomorrow. Then I will start on left fender for rust repair and fitment, I may also do some filling tomorrow on the right fender since temps might be up to 70F.

Well it's been a little while since last post due to crappy weather but finally got something done on the Stang. I got the right fender close to being ready for body filler and primer, The door gap lower down may be border line tho as I think I would like it a smidgen tighter.

Started work on the left, the lower half is also bad but a little more so then the right. Looks like it had a patch repair done back in the 80 or 90's and was done poorly. The patch was not even fully welded, it had been pushed in on purpose to take filler.....a lot of filler!!
