Let me start by saying I fairly new to cars and have a ton of questions. I started this build with the intentions I wanted to learn about cars. Well I bit off a huge chunk. I dont believe there is a bolt on this car that hasnt been touched. I had a small arsenol of tools but have bought many along the way. I knew basic skills about cars when i I started but learn so much. The body work is something I felt I could do and doing ok with it just cant afford to waste too much in materials. Here is what I started with

Just a little run down on the project. In the works are mild 440 with tunnel ram, 727 trans and Dana 60. Im trying to keep with the 70's street brawler look. Street car inspired but may see some track time. Petty Blue will be the final color.

This is my first build of any kind and its really been fun but also stressful. Im in the body work stage and im in a realm I know little about. Between you tube videos and a little help here and there I have come pretty far. Before some of the body work stages

Beginner eh?
Well you did a lot of heavy work for a noob

A budy of mine had a 440 Dart like that, best run I ever saw out of it was a 9.54

Yeah I did but at a snails pace. It was a huge learning curve. But i learn quick and ehh in the end its all metal. Next time around some of the things will look cleaner and by then my welds will look better I hope.

A guy out of Story City Iowa. He cut the housing welded on new ends, nickel rodded the tubes to the center, changed out the side gears and clutch hubs and installed new bearings and shims and reset it back up for $250 but I supplied all the new parts just labor.
