Your right it is Top heavy.
It's a Two person job to roll it over on its side or right it at this time but doable.
After I get the Trunk drop offs finished up and the Tail panel back on I will probably remount it to the Bumper mounts, Just for the ease of being able to flip it by myself.
Holding it by the pinch welds I believe is better for the body in my opinion.
I have the bottom all stripped of undercoating now There is actually no other rust any where on the body besides what I am currently working on so that's a good thing no more surprises.
I should be back at it welding soon.

I got a little update Both of my air compressors are pretty much burned up well at least one of them is taking forever to build up pressure. They have been going bad for some time now. Yesterday I finally picked up a Good Pump one that should last me many many years.
I got it used off of Craigs list Its an Ingersoll-Rand 7100 air pump with a Dayton 5 hp motor. Basic specs: Air Compressor Pump, Number of Stages 2, Splash Lubricated, 10, 15 HP, 37.0/50.0 Free Air CFM @ Max. Pressure, Max. Pressure 175 psi, Oil Capacity 2-1/2 qt., Number of Cylinders 2, NPT Outlet 1 In., Pump RPM 800, 1100, Rotation CCW, Groove Section B, Groove Quantity 2, Flywheel Included Y, Flywheel Dia. 18 In., Sheave Size @ 1725 RPM 8-23/64 In., 11-23/64 In., Bore Dia. 5-1/2 In., 3 In., Stroke Length 4 In., Cast Iron Construction, Valve Type Finger, Overall Height 25-13/16 In. ' https://www.amazon.com/Air-Compressor-P ... ullets-btf The Motor is way to small for the pump its a Dayton 5 hp single phase It needs a 10-15 hp minimum in my opinion, but it does drive the pump to 150 psi in about 1.5 min from dead empty so it does work! It turns it slow but doesn't waist any time building to good pressure and doesn't struggle when loaded at full pressure either. so I think it will work as is till I get a 10-15hp motor for it. The Tank is old and too small for my liking it was an up right and been modified into Horizontal its like a 50 gal tank but It was the Pump I was after. The Pump looks relatively new compared to the Tank and the motor that's being used. The plumbing on it is all new, From what I gather the Guy had purchased it to build the ultimate compressor for his shop but in the end he ended up just slapping it together on the old Tank and used the Small motor on it he had laying around then selling it for quick cash as he needed money to move. his loss my gain sorta thing. Wow I am just blazing along on a Lightning pace on this project! Last update was August its now almost November lol!
My Shop has been busy though the last 6 months as usual. My new to me 98 Vett needed the LS1 rebuilt, I deep cleaned and honed the Block, Had a new set of Rods with ARP bolts on the old Pistons The Bore and pistons Miked out within specs so I installed new rings and a New Performance cam Ported the heads and did a performance 3 angle valve job on the valves and seats. Installed an LS6 intake as well as full length headers. I still need to get it Dyno tuned. But it runs really Good and drives really nice with the new ZO6 Shocks and new run flat tires all mounted and balanced with new tire pressure monitor sensors. My 06 VW Diesel needed a New Cam and a cylinder head rebuild with new guides and Valves Its all back together now and I am still waiting on a New set of injectors for it, it should be good for another 300k miles though. My Kids 06 VW Diesel came in for a New cam, Timing belt water pump, Its got 300k on it and will need a cylinder head soon I am sure. Then his Buddy's 06 diesel VW came in for a stage 3 Cam, and new bigger Turbo, timing belt water pump and a computer reprogram, Its low milage at 150k on it. I am NOT impressed by the stage 3 cam and turbo kit price or performance. My 93 Ford needed the front Dana 50 rebuilt with new U-joints and upper and lower Ball joints before I made a Trip to TN with it to pick up my new to me Jeep CJ7. Then my Buddy stopped by from Texas for me to help him with his F350 6.4 Diesel it needed a new Oil cooler, Fuel cooler actuator and I rebuilt both the turbos on it, al new bearings and seals its a compound Turbo deal, plus we did a few other tricks too it that will keep it on the road for many years to come. I also picked up an 07 Jeep Comander with the 5.7 hemi that had dropped an intake valve seat on number 7 cylinder, The engine is out torn down, and down at the machine shop now, Picked up a set of newer late model Eagle heads and had them all rebuilt with all new valve seats and valves, performance valve job. and is now waiting for me to purchase a new Scat Stroker kit for it. I have plans for a new set of long tube headers for it and have picked up a New better flowing intake for it as well, also Planning on a 4 inch lift kit and 35 inch tires with new offset rims and a New inside bumper Winch on the front and one of those Roof top tents. Plus I had a few other emergency and minor projects in and out of the shop like my Skid loader and Tractor then the wife's car, My Kids ongoing never ending Mustang project, Home repairs had a couple broken pipes happen and The AC unit took a dump on my rental. Life in general plus my day Job! So anyone that thinks I am just Lazy about finishing this Bird needs to rethink things about me lol Life gets in the way! But enough of my excuses. I do have some updates on the Bird and will post pics up tonight mostly just blasted parts ready for Epoxy at this time. BUT The front Cowl panel is all welded on and Epoxied, The car also has a couple coats of Hi build on it and has been sanded out up too 400, its showing a few deep scratches still in a few spots so I am planning on another coat of Hi build or two then re sanding before color. Dennis you are amazing beautiful work...With my back problems I can barely keep the 38 dusted off but I do and drive it. I don't think I'll get the interior in it because of this new house is keeping the pockets drained.
it needs to be lowered with big and littles. .

How you been Man? been a long time. Sorry to hear your Back is bothering you again No fun living in pain. I got a Bunch of pics I have to get up on this thread. I Been poking along on my fenders as of lately, My ambition got up and left! Calvin's Mustang keeps getting in the way, He has his ways of getting me involved with it. Hey Dad Look at this! Hey Dad what do you think about this! Hey Dad! On my Fenders I needed to work out a couple of dents and weld up a few things almost done with the left one. The right one is in really good shape. I still need to weld up that crack I found in the Sub frame. I need to hit it hard this week and finish up all the Blasting I need to get done on parts like the Radiator Cowl support that's about all thats left to blast really. Then I can get everything in epoxy I hope once that's done I think I can start assembly? I need to get this thing on its own wheels, That should allow me to see some light at the end of the tunnel and give me some inspiration to finish it up I hope? I have so many small parts to buy, Body and suspension bushings, U bolts for the rear end, Seals, Insulation, wire harnesses I am still hoping I can find a 4 speed I can afford? With everyone converting to LS power with 5 & 6 speeds you'd think more old super T 10s would be on the market? I have already purchased a lot of new small parts already, I need to go through all the boxes and take inventory and make a list of what I got and what I need This is the last time I do a car so disorganized like this!
