Ya your right Mike I got to get off My Fat **** and get off this computer because It wont do itself lol Im off from work today and headed out there to get some work done right or wrong im gonna melt some metal together.

Good advice on bracing the car before cutting major pieces of sheet metal. If you take the engine and drive train out, you could do what it did, in lieu of buying/building a rotisserie: http://fyi.boardhost.com/viewtopic.php?id=3288

I would buy a Rotisserie before I would try that wood flip system sorry.

Plus I can get under my car easily with the lift I have, Working over head sucks but that's what I am leaning towards. Luckily I have a couple young helpers that can get under their and scrape and sand for me lol. any way my projects are on hold for a while till I can get some time off work or steady days off again.

YIKES! its been a while for an update to this project

I Just went back to look at the date when I started this dang thread where does the time go? I started this project like 5 years ago and what can I say ? Well I got a Mortgage to pay and other bills so it taken a back seat to life and other project's for a good long while while plus extra money what the heck is that? I live in Nevada you can guess where it goes lol

So any way a while back I finally purchased a Rotisserie a Titan 4500 to be exact:

But I had a small Problem the extra Mounts I purchased with the Rotisserie and the ones that came with it mounted to the aft spring mounts or Bumper mounts and due the Trunk pan being just barely tacked in still and the rear tail panel still off lifting anything or putting any weight on those rear mounting points was totally out of the question as was just welding the parts back on YET! you see, I had ran into a Problem with the Rear Trunk drop off panels I had purchased, As Re-pop's go there not bad BUT just like the rear lower quarter panel patches that I hand made they require some messaging to make a Perfect fit and look a like to the Originals. To do that I tried and tried but due to my Handicap I couldn't get into position to hammer form the pieces correctly to my liking then came the revelation boy it would be a whole lot easier with the car on its side! Boy wouldn't that be slick??? So I stopped and waited to buy the dang Rotisserie.... Years later here we are BUT I still need to mount it on the front spring mounts and they don't make them for that Rotisserie so yesterday I finally got around to making the long boring journey into Vegas with my Gas Hog Truck to get the extra steel I needed to make the custom mounts so I can mount the car to the forward spring perches to get her on the silly Rotisserie thing.

I plan to Get Down and dirty with this thing and Knock it out! Its been way too long and I am sick of tripping over and moving parts loosing parts and plain sick of looking at the pile of what ever you wanna call it.
So I'm off to the shop now to get started but before I do I just Paid Photobucket the ransom money to make my Links work, I just checked and Most are still working some don't I am not gonna bother fixing the broken links at this time maybe later.

Thanks! I been on other projects, BUT Im back on it now! and the Vett at the same time. I cant do one at a time that would be too easy lol.

I was out there all day today, turns out steel shop gave me wrong stuff in one of the stick's of steel I should have doubled checked what the guys were loading!
That slowed me down a bit, As now My Mount plans changed dramatically.
But I figured away around it all the same just took a bit of figuring what I could do with what I had. I think I have it going my way now and even finally started welding some stuff before calling it a day due to My Torpedo heater taking a dump AGAIN! and kinda forced me to call it a day.
Its cold here now and a Big storm blowing in today supposed to dump a LOT of snow tonight in the mountains. Any way, I will be back on it tomorrow. Hope to get some progress pics up soon.

A full frame is the way to go! I don't know why I didn't see it before!
I just got done Fabricating up the Rear legs and up rights I see it now, A Full frame is the way to go.
The Legs just Droop to much for my liking It will work don't get me wrong.
But A full frame and Pinch weld attachment is the right way to do it in my opinion.
Keeps from putting to much stress into the Uni body in my opinion.
After all when body shops work on a Car in a Collision shop on a Frame machine how do the Mount the car? the Pinch welds!

I am going out in the morning to pick up some more steel. Its gonna work nice I can see it now.
Wish I could have seen some pics of it done before I started this would have made it whole lot cheaper!
I wouldn't have had to worry about Beefing up the T section either.
In the end I am going to have two 6 foot Legs and Two 7 or 8 footers haven't decided on length of second set yet, Then I will them together with a Slip joint.
I will center the car on sliding Up rights on the Frame rails to the Pinch welds.

It will Be very strong and Very Sturdy and work on most any car or Truck when I am done
.
All this Heavy square tube cutting I am doing gave me a new tool must have....a Horizontal Band saw!
I have a Chop saw and it just aint cutting it on these thick Tubes.

Long story short its on the Spit Not really happy with it yet Have to play with it more.
In as far as centering every thing it spins and all and is balanced kinda.... like I said I need to play with it more. sorry no picks My camera Battery's are dead need to pick some up.

Its not up as Hi as it will go and I have It centered up pretty good now too.
It is Top heavy & Not sure if I can get it to go all the way upside down or not. I don't really need too I only need to get it on its side and Tilted toward its side for what I need to do.

In the end it works for what I need at this time I can always finish the Trunk and the tail panel so I can use the other mounts.

Started on removing more under coating and cleaning the Floor Pan More to do today then i will either do some Blasting or dig into some Metal work.
Or more shop cleaning and looking for all my Parts lol cant belive how scattered every thing is.

I can only blame myself for being lazy AND CALVIN! :rotfl:

That would be so top heavy, I am impressed you could turn it that far over, For mine, I still had tail panel fitted, so I made some plates that bolt to the rear subframe at the bumper mounting points.

Mounting front and rear to keep the rotational axis central, makes it easy to rotate the body.
