Your post couldn't have come at a better time for me. I am working on a custom 55 chevy truck right now. Its slow going since I have never done one before and two other people started and worked on this project before I got it. Plus I work a lot and only get about 10-12 hours a month in on this truck.

Did you have to make the mounting bracket for your brake booster assembly? Just finished one up myself because I needed that pedal over another 2" to line up in original location.

I hope to finish plumbing the brake lines tomorrow afternoon, pour some fluid in and start checking for leaks. LOL

Great work you are doing, very impressive and I like your vision for the finished project. Have you purchased the air suspension system yet? I am curious as to how you plan to set that up.

Hey Jim its very nice to meet you.

I checked out your build thread on the truck, its actually what made me post my truck build. I noticed a lot of newer rides here and when I saw your truck I thought it was cool so I posted mine.

The brake assembly on my truck is an aftermarket unit designed to fit in the stock location. I'm running a hydroboost unit from a Chevy Astro Van and I had to modify the push rod to make it more adjustable.

Suspension. No I'm not running air bags I have adjustable coilovers front and rear. I have nothing against air bags I actually thought about running them, but I decided I wanted a static drop that made people think the truck was bagged. Well until they realize I can't drop it anymore.lol The ride height will be low.

With your experience I don't see how I can help you much but if you find something I can help you with please feel free to ask.

I really wish I had more time to work on it but it will get done. I can't wait to drive this thing. But having a wife, kids, and two classic cars to work on eats of time.

Not to mention eating up lots of money. I work on other peoples projects so I can pay for mine.

Yeah thats true. I really don't work on other people projects as a rule unless I know and trust them. I've been burned in the past so I keep that at a minimum, so that I can stay civil with people.lol When it came time to pay all of a sudden their money got funny. BTW I posted a thread of some other projects I've worked on.
