I don't know where you got the Polished SS hold down strips without Holes ?
Are you going to use the Carriage bolts? or hide the Hardware ?
I have to do this on Skips 4x4 pick up build and kicked the idea around both ways

The strips are purchased with hidden fasteners. They are kind of expensive but I like the look. I bought the Universal Kit from Speedway Motors. |

I just read through your entire thread. Absolutely an incredible build! The color is killer too!

Your project is incredible. I love the detail and the results to match Jim |
Great work!
Do you have any idea of how many hours you have into so far? 1968 Coronet R/T

Thanks I really appreciate those kind words.
Thanks man and about the hours I have no idea and I don't even want to puzzle my brain thinking about it. Its is a heck of a lot that is for sure. |

I had 948 hours in this '55 and it still wasn't finished. The owner took it to get power windows put in and to my knowledge that never got done. Not nearly has customized as yours either.
The reason I asked is so people who think they want to tackle a project like this have an idea of the amount of work that goes into one. 1968 Coronet R/T

68 Coronet R/T, that truck came out nice.
Yeah it takes time to put these things together and I know I have way more hours than you had in that truck in my truck. I only work on it on weekends but its been many years in making and I'm just now seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. |
