The car is still in the shop! SOOO many details to attend to. Wiring in the headlights, and tail lights being a big job. Not a lot of info available for the Aston and Ferrari wiring. Plu so many hand fabricated items. Polished stainless hood prop. Stainless oval lower grill bar, to mount the front license plate. Small "finish" plates for some openings I had to cut. Brackets galore! The trunk panels were in-usable, so I bought a full sheet of 1/8" ABS and cut and bent it to form trunk interior panels, then covered them with material. He wanted lights in the fender scoop openings.
I'm also working on some "identification" items. He originally wanted Corvette and SS emblems on the car. No way! From conversations with him, I got the impression he liked the shapes, and name of the Stingray. Obviously we can't use that, so I decided that "Manta Ray" would be a good substitute. So I'm going to fabricate some hub covers for the Vette wheels, some name plates, and emblems with that theme. And I might put my own "crest" on the hood. |

Cleaned it up and put it outside, decided to take some pictures. I still have to make some logo emblems, and nameplates, add my shop crest to the car, and get some newly machined hub covers back from the engraver. But it
s getting close to going home! |
