Restoring a Mopar muscle car is not cheap by any stretch of the imagination. A guy on another forum just paid $550 for a used plastic grill insert on his project.

Finding a complete car is going to cost you a lot more than $3000. There is a 1968 Plymouth GTX, 440, 4 speed car for sale here on Craigslist. No engine, the Dana 60 rear end is gone, no interior and a bunch of trim missing and he wants $8500 for it. The engine and the Dana will cost close to 7k by the time they are ready to install if you can find them.

WOW! what a Find a True GTX 440 4 speed? don't see those very often any more!
$8500 is a Little steep with no interior or Rear end but its the way these cars are going.
I found a 71 GTX 440 six pack Sunroof car a true 6 pack sun roof car and the guy knew were the original motor was with carbs available separately too whoever bought the car. THE Bad it had Major rust the Fire wall was ate out wasted as were quarters, rockers & floors AND there was NO TITLE that was the deal breaker for me even for $4000.00 No Title No car, Here was a Car easily 1 of only two or three known to exist easily worth half a mill restored or close to it when done properly and it was worthless because the title had been lost.
(I still kick myself on letting this one get away as there are tricks to getting titles but its nightmare Hard and tricky to get legit paper but not impossible)

Lenny you flipped it! and you made a few bucks no shame in that Probably for the best!
Major Rust surgery like Quarter panels isn't for the faint of heart. Heck Restoring ANY car isnt for the faint of heart or shallow pockets its expensive as heck.
More often than not restorations are a money loosing adventure.

Yah, that was my thoughts also. I really liked the body style and will still be on the look out for another, but hopefully a numbers matching big block car that the money comes closer to adding up.
