So I've started taking down the 72 K20 I picked up. All original truck with 78k on it. 350 4 speed numbers all match. It has the medium bronze paint and not really any trim packages. Should be an easy project because it has barely any rust! Although this is my first paint project.
I've got an 80 gallon snap on 7.5 hp compressor. A 100 lb mac tools sandblasted. A welder and plasma cutter.
I've taken the interior and glass out. Working on the front clip. Need to make a stand for the bed and cab.
I will need to read up on painting 101 but I'm getting closer.

For this really nice frame off driver. Should I blast down to metal all over? Just sand the paint that isn't too bad or a combination of these 2?
I was going to blast the frame and bed for sure. Not sure what to do here. I believe what I blast I should cover with an epoxy primer. Any help here would be appreciated. |
