Put the wheel aside, as I bought a rotisserie can got the car mounted on it.
Did some hammer and dolly work on the quarters and trunk lid, applied a very thin filler coat in a couple of area and then shot some more epoxy primer.

I am going to shoot another coat of epoxy tomorrow, then after it cures, my plan is to block sand with 180 grit to see where I'm at.
Thinking I may try to do this in epoxy only but bought a gallon of 2k build primer just in case.

I wasn't happy with the build on the epoxy, so I sprayed two coats of 2k build primer today.
Tomorrow afternoon I will apply guide coat and start block sanding.

Looking really good car has came far in short time.

I am not a fan of just strait Epoxy for any sort of build (Shrinks)

Looks exactly like the Titan I have similar in price as well. Nice addition to your arsenal!!!

I will be redesigning my Pinch weld attachment system for mine after I get the current project off of it.

Here's the roof after the first round of block sanding with 180 grit, the dark spots are where I reached the epoxy primer while removing guide coat:



I started to shoot two more coats for the second round of block sanding but I only got one coat on and ran out of 2k build primer. The gallon I ordered didn't arrive in time so went ahead and block sanded this with 320 grit.

Here's the roof after 1 more coat of 2k blocked:


I had one area on the trunk lid where the metal was oil canning. Had to strip that and run the shrinking disc over it until it was firm again.
Covered all exposed metal and filler with epoxy primer and then shot 2 more coats of 2k build primer today.










I will let this set for a couple of days before doing anymore sanding.

Yeah that body is looking awesome. And congrats on that rotisserie. Much easier to body work being able to tilt to the area you want to work on vs crawling on the ground, bending over ect ect.

Oh yeah! I am kicking myself for not buying one a long time ago.

Get yourself a Two post lift now and You'll really Be lovin Life.
Their is No way I would go back to working without one.
Makes getting cars on and off the Spit easier too!
