If I were you I would use a smaller drill bit to make what you think are the correct location of the spot welds such as a #30 then put floor pan in then with a center punch make a punch into the frame rail were your not sure if you got it right then pull pan up and check to see if punch marks are were you think they should be before committing to the larger drill drill hole for the spot weld.
A smaller hole is easier to weld closed if you need to because its off a little..
Your doing a fantastic job with this car its gonna be NICE!!!!!

Thanks!
While waiting for my seam sealer, sandpaper and filler to arrive, I decided to take a closer look at the console. It has 3 series cracks which I used super glue to repair. However there are chunks of plastic missing. My plan to repair this area is to mix up some JB Weld clear epoxy. Then use a toothpick to fill the voids, then just before the epoxy sets, press down on the area with a small piece of vinyl fabric to form some texture. Anyone with experience in this type of repair, please make suggestions or recommendations. I know I can get a reproduction console for $250 plus shipping but thought I would attempt a repair first. 1968 Coronet R/T

Had to change the game plan a couple of times but here's what I ended up with.
Not perfect but close enough that most people will never notice. 1968 Coronet R/T

Im a little late on your plastic repair sorry, you did a nice repair by the way amazing actually.
I bought the Plastic repair kits from Polyvance the welding kit and the other kit they sell. Amazing products I have made so many repairs with it From my Corvette fender tabs to repairing interior knobs and Plastic trim pieces, and other things I should have documented the repairs and posted it here for you guys Both kits have saved me hundreds of dollars in replacement costs literally. The Fender was over $600 new OEM, I fixed a tear and two broken tabs in less than 20 min with it with the correct filler rod. https://www.polyvance.com/PlastiFix-Kits-1/ https://www.polyvance.com/PlastiFix-Kits-1/2502/ https://www.polyvance.com/Airless-Welde ... 00HT-100V/ I am gonna do an Endura bumper repair with it for the Firebird. They are the only ones that have come up with a suitable repair for Endura material. I also purchased some of their "Epoxy flex filler" for the Pontiac Bumpers Havent used yet but I will. https://www.polyvance.com/Flex-Filler-1/2000-1/ Dennis B.

Chrome trim is in pretty rough shape. I buffed the chrome strip and side lights to see how they would turn out. May still replace them with new.

They look nice enough to me I even zoomed in on them, You just cant get out all the corrosion some times.
I was planning to send a Bunch of my Chrysler small stuff to Painter Dave to have him Spray Chrome them rather than sending them out for Re-chroming. Some of my chromed Pot metal pieces are just to far gone to even think about re-chroming gonna be easier cheaper to paint. I wonder how he would feel about full size Bumpers lol? Dennis B.
