I always thought the colors were unique to the letter code, B all blues, F all greens, etc. Strange that Q was several different colors, there's more letters than basic colors so why do that?

Anyway, cool color, looking forward to seeing the whole car in it

I believe the first letter indicates the year it was produced.
E=69
F=70
G=71
etc
Second is colour, third is shade

A good read here[*].https://www.dodgegarage.com/news/articl ... olors.html

Fender tag in that article doesn't look anything at all like mine:

Notice the second line up from the bottom under PNT. You see QQ1 that is the paint code designation as follows:
Paint Code QQ1
First Q is roof color
Second Q is body color
1 = monotone

My Charger is a GY9 if memory serves correctly its an ugly green in my opinion but it grows on ya. Still gonna change the color lol Gonna try to keep it a mild custom with some engine mods and color change.
My Plymouth is a Red from factory but its being changed to a Red I like from a unmentionable company.

Also, media blasted the hinges and sprayed with epoxy.
