Got this one in the shop now, a 1969 Mustang Mach 1 with a Q code 428 and 4 speed. A one of one car.

We will finish striping the car to get it ready for a chemical dip to get it back to bare metal. Hopefully there will be something left when we get it back lol.

It has the original engine and trans and diff. The only thing not original is the carb. We are on the look out for a date correct one for this restoration.

Wow, that one looks comparable to a Graveyard Carz back from the dead car. At least it's a very desirable car. Plus, all the body panels are readily available and relatively cheap money wise.

Yes being a MACH 1 with a 428 Cobra Jet with a 4 speed it makes it worth the investment to get it restored. I have seen these cars go for 100k+ so investing 50k into the restoration your still coming out ahead. If this was a 302 (non Boss) or a 351 car I would be more hesitant to invest that kind of scratch lol.

This will be a full spot weld correct resto

Wow! Always impressed by you guys that can tackle a rusted pile like that.

Does that door just get thrown in the trash or do you somehow fix that metal?

Better shape the one I passed on buying for $8500.
Basically I would have been buying the VIN and Fender Tag. Nothing else was there, engine, tranny, interior, glass, dash, gauges, etc. were all gone. Every piece of metal needed to be replaced and I mean EVERY piece.
The guy said, yeah but look what they are going for restored. Dreamer for sure.
