Rust removers and metal preps have their place but I do not recommend them for any areas that will be painted unless they are completely and properly neutralized.

Dustless blasting can leave large amounts of sludge in the nooks and crannys of your vehicle. With a dry blast media these places can be vacuumed while spraying with compressed area to get them good and clean.

But overall it was nice to see the car all in one color.

I did learn that dustless blasting is anything but dustless and there is media everywhere....

Not sure how to fix the corner of the door properly yet. Was just bondo stuffed in there before it was blasted out. The quarter was not welded along the edge either and was covered in bondo so im glad i took out all the bondo and stitch welded the quarter together. not sure how it was actually attached.

Lastly I threw some Eastwood epoxy sealer on it to prevent any further rust. hopefully give me some time now to work on it. Eastwood probably wasnt the best epoxy choice but it was easy to find and get.

You will need to align all your doors and panels to get the body lines straight and gaps equal.
Then begin working on the metal to get things right. I take on one panel at a time when repairing or replacing them so I can stay focused.

It's also good practice to rebuilding the door hinges on an old car before you try to adjust them. Not sure how much a hinge rebuild kit is for Mopars but Fords are only a few bucks and take an hour or so to do. That will eliminate any slop they may have. Do the same for the hood.

Nice Mopar. I am currently working on a 73 to 70 Challenger conversion. I went through all of what you are currently working on, and now I am going back and replacing the front quarters and the rear panel for the conversion. I did weld in rear quarters when I first started the project. I did all the primer work as well as the paint. I went with base coat clear coat. I made some mistakes, mainly some deep sanding scratches that showed through. Painting wasn’t that bad, it was just dang expensive because I never knew what I really needed and how much. If you have a clean shop with climate control, you should be able to paint it yourself. I built a paint booth inside my garage. Wife wasn’t happy about it, but I had a lot of fun learning to paint and work through the processes. Good luck with your project.
