What’s up everyone? My names Jake and a New member to this site and new to doing paint and body work myself; seen it done plenty of times but never attempted it till now. I’m currently working on my project truck I picked up for cheap. Recently built a fender flare tool with a buddy to flare the rear fenders to clear the tires which I have pics posted of the outcome. Also installed angle braces to stiffen up the fender wall. I’m currently in the process of sanding off the multiple layers of peel paint. Well with multiple layers of the peel paint makes it no longer peel-able Lol. So I sanded it down to bare metal with an orbital sander and 60grit. Now where do I go from here? Do I work my way back to a 120 grit metal surface or something different? Any help is greatly appreciated

I like to use 80 grit on a DA to prep the metal for epoxy primer.

From what I can see in the pictures the flares turned out very nice.

Cool project! I'm on the downhill side of my first full car repaint myself and I've learned alot here. Can't wait to see the progress :goodpost:
