Here's the fender and inside of door in the original colors (base only, no clear). Sent these to the owner so he can make up his mind as to the color he wants.

So what is his "end game" with this truck? Is he just wanting an above average daily kind of driver or is he going to be showing it?

Looks like he's going to get close to show quality. Nice work 68.

In the beginning it was just replacing rusted metal and straightening a few dents. He even considered having it cleared just the way it was. Then he started talking about leaving it in primer but once he saw it in primer he started talking about colors.

I had bought a pint each of the original colors just to show him what the truck looked like when new. Used up all of the blue painting the inside of door, the one fender and a coat on driver's side floor just to use up what I had left in the cup.

Yeah, he's probably getting excited because of your progress. I've had furniture customers bring me something for minor touch-up....they see a few things we are working on and then it's like how about just stripping this for me so I can get a good finish on it.... they then come and see it clean to bare wood and decide that maybe we should do it so they don't screw it up....

Just got a call from the owner.
He wants to go with a darker blue so will be sending me a picture.
At least we have a decision on color now.

Eventually I have to take on that antique Singer Sewing Machine for my wife. Fortunately she has been busy in her new She Shed.
