You really brought that thing back from being real rough. If that dark blue was not so awesome looking, I’d say keep the old school light blue

Moving on to the left fender.
Fender Left Alignment.JPG

Media blasted and 2 coats of epoxy primer:

Sprayed two coats of polyester primer, block sanded with 150 grit and circled trouble spots with pencil.

Worked trouble spots with hammer and dolly to get everything close and then applied filler:

This was block sanded flat (sorry no picture) and then I shot 3 coats of 2k build primer using a 2.0 tip:

Guide coated and blocked with 150 grit to remove the guide coat. This of course removed nearly all of the 2k at this point.

Shot 2 more coats of 2k build primer, guide coated and blocked with 320 grit. This was then guided coated again and wet sanded with 600.
Here is a shot while still wet after rinsing:

Had the windshield and rear glass removed.
Thought this was rust on the upper dash:

Turned out to be dirt for the most part:
Dash right upper after cleaning.JPG

In fact there was so much dirt under the dash that every time I bumped the vehicle or closed a door another couple of piles would form. So I began the process of cleaning the backside of the dash and everything under it.

The heater box is partly clean which shows how dirty it was to start with.

Saw this small rectangular piece attached to the front of the dash above the ignition switch but couldn't tell what it was until I removed it:

The lettering is quite a bit smaller than that which was on my '68 GTX dash but thought I would give the paint pen a try anyway.

It needs a little clean up work but should be fine for a Chebby.
