I think the original color is a better choice BUT its not my Truck and I am not paying the Bills for it.

I agree, it has more "pop" to it.

Isn't there a web sight that tells you the total number produced in what color for those trucks? I would think that Baby Blue would be a fairly rare color for that Truck?
Its gonna be worth some coin no matter what color it is when done. Dennis B.

Not sure on the website, I do know that they only offered two blue color codes in 1969, the 507 Blue which is the original color and a 508 blue which is the darker color.
I really like the Automotive Art Motobase LV base coat so waiting for them to get the color match for the 508 so I can get a pint and repaint the front fender. Sprayed the white on the exterior of the door as well so I can get that painted also. Really need the owner to decide on a color so I can wrap this thing up and get it outta here. 1968 Coronet R/T

Still waiting for the sample of dark blue paint so I decided to start prepping the cab for paint.
Not sure what adhesive they used for the door seals but this stuff was a bear to get off: I couldn't access the inside door seal areas because of the dash pad, so I dismantled the dash. The steering column appears to be the dark blue already: Found the circuit film on the gauge cluster de-laminated and two of the circuits separated from the film: The underside of the dash has years of dirt and grime built up. Notice how they secured the clutch lever rod with a piece of wire: I was able to prep the outside of the driver's door and get a coat of sealer on it: 1968 Coronet R/T

I like that light blue on that truck a lot. Hope he goes that route.....

The dark blue paint sample arrived this afternoon so I spray 3 coats over the light blue after wet sanding it with 600.
The paint wasn't as dark as I was expecting and it is a metallic so that was a pleasant surprise as well. First the original blue: I grabbed the very slow reducer by mistake so the paint is still flashing off bit in this picture. 1968 Coronet R/T

My only comment on the "new blue" there is that it kind of makes the truck itself look newer. Hmmmm.....lighter blue looks more authentic for the age of the truck....but, hey, it's up to him....
