A couple more pictures
I sanded the inside of the door anticipating hitting it with another coat of clear. I decided since I had some gray and matte clear left I'd hit the inside with that to match the rest of the interior. I think it will finish it of nice. I thinned the matt clear to get it to spray out more even. It went on "patchy" other wise.

It did not even get that far :knockout:

We had to go to the track today to get the chassis cert'd since it runs quicker than 9.99. We were loading the car into my trailer and my cousin was pushing the car backward and he did not hold up when I said hold up and pushed it right into he sign pole on the edge of the lot. Just a nick on the tip of the wing but a tiny chip on the edge of the trunk opening.

Anyway the chassis had already been cert'd before so there was no reason to suspect it would not pass, but it was crappy ride in pouring rain for over an hour each way.
It was a fun thing to do with my cousin though.

It was neat seeing it out in the natural light.

Progress has been getting the start of getting Lexan fitted and some other odds and ends.

Next step is to fasten the front windshield and cut and install the DS door window, also Lexan. I have to test fit the old PS window to check the fitment like I did with the old DS window, then I can cut that one too. The rear window is also going to be Lexan and will be a trick to fit for sure.

Have not posted in a while. I've been all out working to get the car done for opening day which was last Saturday. Unfortunately although we got there the day ended up in a rain out.

So here are some pictures picking up after dragging the car out for a chassis cert

Lexan window installation
The pictures bounce between front and rear with some showing how I did it
May be more appropriate for the plastic section though

Spacing out the new holes that had to be drilled >>> made a "gauge" with a paint stick

Rivet-nuts in the A-pillar >>> the rest is secured with button heads and ny-lock nuts

Made spacers to support the Lexan as I transferred the holes in the body to the material

The next post

We got the car running and I'd love to post a video of it firing up and then running on alcohol

The final step was to do the car up with contingency stickers in the manner that the original R-M Camaro was with contemporary mfg's. that pay out included. So the original Speed-Pro was swapped out with JE pistons because that is what is in the engine. Many others used just because they were on the original car. A friend of the shop made a decal for the Heights Racing "team" name using the R-M font that you can see in the last group of pictures.

VP pays if you have a receipt / B-M instead of Hurst / Summit vs. Winston / STP just because. Got the RFC decal on there because Jesus Saves.

Pennzoil is an old school original that a racing friend had in a big bag of decals
ACP is the old Stahl headers from near York PA.

Moroso is an original and Summit pays to have their log book decal on

Bill Ceralli is the engine builder out of Paterson, NJ
Put his decal on instead of the Lee Shepherd Racing Heads

Note the Fairmont in the lane over shades of yore (Bob Glidden)>>> also a fresh build after a horrifying wreck of the guys last Fairmont. This one was a 40k mile cream puff he built up with a funny car cage.

Yes, the other car is my AMC Spirit GT that I have had since ‘85.
Runs 11.20s

We had some good weather last Saturday and were able to run.
The AMC was running low 11.20s and the Camaro went as quick as 9.18.
