Looking forward to watching this install. Is the end result to go racing, or bad to the bone street beast?

He thinks he wants to race it, I Tried to stop him and Just buy a real 4 link kit and shorten the axles to go with Big tires! It doesn't cost that much more and the level of work is about the same, But oh no we have to do this! What a mess!
Total waste of time in my opinion, I have seen way to many little tire cars go into the wall on the Big end and I am sure This one will be no exception! its gonna go into the wall! As you can tell maybe but I am NOT a small tire fan. I myself Have nothing to prove anymore I don't need to go racing although I wouldn't mind the occasional Grudge match? But I just enjoy building cool junk! Any way I am gonna build this thing and teach along the way, again I am no small tire fan and I am strongly against these mods! I feel its a waste of time and money! I also feel a Narrowed frame and rear end with Big wheel wells makes a safer car with 4 link or Ladder Bars Its also not much more work infact a Ladder bar car would be cheaper and quicker to build. We have another Mustang a later model that's getting a 4 cam Coyote motor, I am pushing for a Belt driven super charger or Turbos dueling Hair driers Perhaps I will get my way with Big tires on that one? We will see? I have dueling projects going as usual so will see how this one goes. But I want it out of my shop 6 months ago! Dennis B.

Dennis,
I am going to put these in the projects section so others can see and learn from them who may not visit the Welding forum. Of course you should continue posting the metal fab and welding work you are doing on the projects here as well. Great work and it will help inspire others! 1968 Coronet R/T

Yeah I thought it was going to be a true 4 link >>> looks like a retrofit angled bar kit.
Looks like it will be a fun build. |

It is a 4 link just not a Big tire 4 link, The adjust ability is there and the Mini tubs will help get a Little bigger tire on it But Not the size of tires I would like to see.
I wanna see something like this https://www.epicspeed.net/chuck-giving- ... big-tires/ Instead its gonna look like this squirrel https://www.dragzine.com/news/dragzines ... ody-stang/ Dennis B.

Just remember that old saying, "The customer is always right" while you grit your teeth and mumble to yourself about the reality of his foolish choices.
