Well I had lots of things slow me down including painting two car that I picked up
at auction and rebuilt for daily drivers and resided my house and ground out 49 stumps
from my property last summer. Now I am back to the Scout I have worked a couple weekends on it and will post some pictures as I can. I didn't take any today but I will try and
get some tomorrow to post. I have been using the heat and razor method that coronet R/T suggested and it is working well. more to come

What year Scout? I use to have an early 60s model myself when I was a Teen that I wish I still had.

It is a 1979 Scout II, I have been working on it again for a few weeks
now and have almost half the paint off and am working to get the
part I have down to metal straight and primed then on to the other
half. I am going to remove the roof to make it easier to work on and
so I can prime the top of the quarters and clean the area also once
I reassemble I will put a new seal between the two.

A 1979 also a good friend of mine went and picked up a straight 63 this morning he
stumbled across while buying a Scout II. He is going to get it running and driving
in the next few weeks.
