Yes we have the garage all cleaned up/cleared out/decluttered for a nice big roomy assembly area. My son is sorting/organizing all the new parts ect. Relatively easy assembling car compared to rust repair and body work....

My son sanded the original body side molding with 400 grit and red scotch brites. Then rinsed with water and let dry. Then sprayed some 3M Adhesion Promoter and three coats of SEM Trim Black

Carefully installed door handles and reconnected linkage. Now I can open the doors like a normal car again!

Cleaned the original trunk weather strip and reinstalled. Also reinstalled the wire harness into the trunk lid. Also installed some trunk lid bumpers we pulled from the junk yard cause ours had white over spray on them:

Unmasked the mirror glass, installed the gasket, and left them to hang because my son has to bring the new OEM Honda door belt molding trim over which has to be installed before the mirror.

Note that this is Civic EX so mirrors and door handles are body color. But body side molding is black. My son says starting in '96 body side molding on EX is body colored. We are going for original look so sticking to how it was originally.

My son brought all of the rear suspension parts over today. The lower control arms and lower strut arms are powder coated. The rest of the parts are new. The car originally had drum brakes in the rear and now has rear disc brakes. Emergency brake cables also installed.
