The bed had a nasty dent in it.

After some prying, hammering, banging and filler work it came out looking pretty good after 2k primer was sprayed.

The rest of the bed was pretty decent.

The tailgate needed some tweaking to get it fairly straight again.

I ordered a powder coated rear step bumper for this truck and it arrived damaged.

So I contacted the company and told them that the brackets and nuts and bolts were loose in the box and had scratched it up, then sent them pictures. They said they would immediately send out a replacement bumper and that I didn't need to bother returning the damaged one.

Yesterday the replacement arrived and guess what? Yep it was scratched too.
This time they decided to refund my money and send a return label for the bumper. Still waiting for both to happen.

Tomorrow I hope to get the 2k sanded, color and clear sprayed. After that I will work on the bed liner.

About 1 out of 3 parts I've bought in both plastics and metal have come to me with shipping damage lately. I guess you just have to suck it up and bargain with the companies. Luckily we can massage stuff. About 6 months ago I ordered a large retro looking mini fridge for my wife. Box looked great, frig, not so much. About 6 dents, no paint missing. I told the vendor I had enough pdr skill to get them out and pass it by my wife. They gave me 70% off for keeping it..... Welcome to the new supply world, huh?

They are only asking me to return one bumper, so I will send them the worst one and then dress up the other and install it.

I'm still waiting for the replacement Fog Lights they promised. They didn't ask for a return either, so I have one good one and hoping the other comes soon.

Man, there is just nothing you can do about this anymore. It's just so hit or miss with stuff. Just got notified that our industrial solvent based cold stripper is going up 32% in price. That is even based on my 1800 gallon at a time purchase. I may have to move up to the next tier at 3600 gallons to try and knock down pricing.

Covered the old bedliner with one good coat of Raptor yesterday. Starting to install new taillights now.

I must give credit to Carparts.com for honoring their word. They refunded my money, less shipping, and sent a return label for one of the bumpers.

Sent back the worst of the two and then went to work on the remaining bumper. It required some modification and painting but it's now installed.
