This car had not been looked after and at first I hadnt planned on taking pics but after I started I got the trusty Canon out.

Have you ever thought about a polarizer for your camera? I think you would like the results in your photography.

I dont know if they would make one its just an auto canon digital a "S1 is"
What advantage would i see if i could get one?

It cuts down on the glare. It would make the color on the car look more chromatic and eliminate the "Silver" windshields.
I don't know what size the end of your lens is, It should say. If you are gonna take a lot of pic's of your work, I would get one.
