I am doing this for a friend of mine. This is on 0l 90 Cummins it ought to be neat when we get don with it. It is going back solid red with Clifford the Dog airbrushed on the tailgate, LOL. It is Gonna say " Clifford The Big Red Dodge"
His idea not mine. When all is said and done the truck ought to make about 500+ HP.

This is just a ol daily driver so it didnt get to intense but the list of what products were.
Omni Base, Starting out with Omni clear, i am not sure the exact number of what clear and dont care to look. I found out i would not use this **** to start a fire with.It ended up with,
Nason 497-00 Clear with great results which i use a ton of anyway. Evercoat Feather fill G2, PPG DP as sealer.
And smoothing that tailgate was a SOB as the **** thing was shot when i started on it. Anyway here are some pics there not real great.

Looks like it's in pretty decent shape to start with, nice project. Post some pics when you're done.

Yea it is. The ol truck is **** straight for what it is. I havent found any rust to even mention exept on top of the roof there is a little surface rust but nothing to worry about. Yes i will post some pics. I plan to have it done in just a couple weeks. I thought about putting a little Bronze pearl in the clear what do you guys think?

You can add the bronze pearl in a clear base or an "intercoat clear."
It would give it some "pop." A man can do all things if he but wills them.

Thats what i thought but i was afraid it might give it a little orangy look or something. I still really would like to give it a shot.

Han,,,Are you using the Dupont binder and the balancer for the powdered pearl? If so, thats a good way to do it.
I cant remember if you have a mixing machine or not. I have had one in all the shops I have worked in. I enjoyed playing around with them and mixing my own paint. There is a lot you can do with a mixing machine. Mo, If you mix your own stuff,,,don't use to much pearl. O-Yea,,,Dont put the pearl in the clear,,,It needs to be under it. Give me a call if you need to 843-412-6776 Rick |

Yes, i have a mixing machine. And i use the 150/175. A little bit of pearl
goes a VERY long way. A man can do all things if he but wills them.
