hello all. this is the mustang finished out. this is my second paint job and my first custom. i enjoyed doing every bit of it myself. new chrome bullit wheels really make it bling. house of kolor used for base, fire, and clear. cut and buffed with norton liquid ice (very good stuff).
this is my first attempt at true fire other than a small practice panel i did before. probably not the smartest thing to do without more practice, but i had confidence i could pull it off. tell me what you think.

I didn't like the "true fire" look, only traditional at first. But the more I see nice jobs like that the more I like it. That really looks nice, thanks for posting.

Looks great. Nice to see it all put back together.

So what's the next project?

For a 1st attmept, it's very good. The "fire" on the doors works much
better; has more depth and "randomness." The front, though nice,
has too many "circles." I think if you treat the front like you did with
the sides, it'll look more realistic.

I hope you don't get offended. I was an avid artist myself and honest
constructive criticism, even from untrained eyes, is what i prefer to hear.

You certainly do have talent. And i'll be looking forward to your projects.

thanks for the compliments. i really enjoyed doing this job. however, its not my car, its my dad's car. it was red and the paint was in rough shape. i agreed to paint it for him if he bought all materials and let me have free reign to do what i wanted to it. he wasnt allowed to see it til i was finished. he was really impressed and happy with it. so much so, he had to buy some new wheels for it.

next project will be a 1984 swb chevy silverado. thinking black with blue fire and maybe a pin-up on the hood. maybe angelina jolie or somethin, i dont know.

not offended at all han. i was getting the hang of it and developing my style as i was airbrushing from the front to the back. by the time i got to the flames on the doors, i had gotten better at it then when i started on the front. i cant wait to compare my next flame job to my first one and see how much of an improvement i will make. constructive criticism will only help a person to get better.

dosent look like true flames to me, but i like it, i think it looks cool.

one of the few cars you can still get away with tastefull flame jobs.
