wish they were all like this one.. the guy gave it to me pretty much ready.
the only prep was to scuff and clean. don`t even have to clear it. had to use that auto air crap on this one cuz i`m out of ru-311. so this is how you do this using that. the HOK version comes out way better and i`ll show how i do that later.
here`s the first pic just scuffed

then i laid out the flames in white, using both a free hand shield and just doing it free hand

Image

then i blasted it with some transparent bright green. forgot to take the pic for that...sorry

then i went over some spots with trans white again and reshot that with trans apple green

Image

then i cut a tribal scull with my plotter, applied it, then did the same thing using trans red, trans orange, and trans sun gold.

hope you guys enjoyed this the pics don`t do it justice and it`s not cleared yet. i`ll post a better one soon.
if i aint here i`m somewhere else

Wowzers. Good work.

Is the tribal vinyl that you lay under the clear, or is it a mask stencil cut on the plotter? I always wondered how clearing over vinyl would work. (Especially when you aren't sure of the vinyl quality in my case)

it`s a stencil cut out on the plotter. it`s gone before the clear goes on.

That green looks freakin' hot! Is it a snowmobile cowl? Post some pics of it outdoors after it's clear'd.

Busy guy :) I like the "live fire" flames, I just get sooo sick and tired of seeing them in red/orange. Those paint jobs are like a dime a dozen here in Phoenix.. the live fire red/orange. I love the green though.. it shows creativity.

edit: either way I know it takes talent to paint live fire.
