If I dont quit changing my mind about stuff, this thing will never get painted. :D

My chassis guy talked me into adding "X" bars to the door bars of the cage.
They turned out pretty sweet...

I'll have some more pics once I get my new window net.

All my Roll cage and chassis work was done by Rob at Rigid Race Cars.
They do some really cool stuff. Check them out at www.rigidracecars.com

Sweeet. It is coming along very nicely Matt.

If you are interested in a carbon fiber custom dash let me know..i can hook you up with a manufacturer to build you one to your specs. Just an idea, can't hurt to mention it :)

That would be sweet!
I'll have to check the rule book to see if a light weight dash is legal.

*Edit.

crap. looks like I'll be using the stock one for now.

From NMRA rule book class: Real Street
6: INTERIOR
6.1 INTERIOR
INTERIOR, GENERAL: Must maintain stock appearance; including factory OEM dashboard, headliner, and steering column cover. Heater/air conditioners may be removed.

No problem, playing the by the rule book is important if you want to race :)

Does NMRA require a battery shut off switch on the back of the car? Don't want you to have to drill a hole through a nice new paint job :)

glad you reminded me of that!

I had the kill switch in the old bumper, but this time I think Im going to squeeze it in next to the license plate. I need to drill my hole in the body now I guess before paint. lol! :D

little bit of progress....

after fighting with VFN, I got a hood that looks and fits decent.

I made some aluminum mounting rails for the dzus fastners.

and got started drilling the holes to pin it on. Also made a mounting rail for the front of the hood...

lol, I'll have to snap a few pics of the boat next time I get some progress done on the car. It belongs to the guy who is spraying my Orange for me.

Its a Baja Outlaw. It has a fairly stock 350 in it. But a pretty kick **** stereo system. It just got the custom flame job over the winter. ;)
