That's the back of the seat. Yes the listing wire goes in the vinyl and then hog ringed to the listing wire in the foam. I watched that YouTube TMI clip before but it's a different seat cover, their's hog rings to the upper lateral channel, mine connects to the lower one so it's just that much harder to line it up. And of course they make it look easy since they've done it a bunch of times. I'm sure I could do it eventually, maybe the 2nd try, maybe the 10th, not sure I have the patience for that. I'll see what the upholstery shop says

It's the back of the seat. I have the sport 2 but not the same as the one in that clip. That one attached to the top lateral listing wire, mine goes to the lower one so it's a whole lot harder to get it aligned correctly. I did mine same way as they did, got it on but it wasn't low enough so top wasn't smooth and bottom didn't cover the corner of the seat foam. Also wouldn't be able to pull it over the frame on the bottom.
I'm sure I could do it eventually but I don't know if I have the patience to keep trying.

I have never heard of Hog ringing the listing wire, always used string and needle and tied it to the frame through the foam and pull tight evenly with other side.

I would still Bag the seat frame and foam while doing this step Just use a shop vac to keep up with the small holes from needle and string.

TRICK =1. Use Duct tape on the plastic where your going to stab the needle with string through the bag and foam, Then only get behind the listing wire with the needle not whole cover.

Needles I am talking about are Upholstery needles about 4-6 inches long big eyelet for Jute string strong stuff. Same as used for upholstery buttons.
There are also big curved needles. I need to order a new set Mine walked off some time ago.

HINT= 2.
Using a Jiffy Upholstery Steamer helps A LOT! warms Vinyl so it can be stretched also great for Carpet installs getting carpet to lay flat and bend to contours.
I have two of them.

I have all three geat books

I think that would be a lot of work and if you don't have the cover EXACTLY where it needs to be you have the same problem, and now you have to cut out all the sewing you did.
If you watch that TMI clip you sent earlier you can see how they hog ring the listing wire, it's a pain but works fine just got it in the wrong place.
They should have alignment marks on the cover and the foam so there's no confusion.
Oddly enough pulling the cover over the seat isn't difficult.
Also the sides of the cover are just vinyl, no listing channel or rod, so I don't know how you can hog ring that to the frame without tearing the vinyl down the road if not immediately.

I'll talk to the upholstery shop when I get back to town.

I tried piling the cover on with only the lateral hog rings attached, still couldn't get it right. Moved onto other things.
I got the doors on, need to get the glass and regulators in next and work on the ebrake cables.

Oh well you tried thats all you can do, their is no Shame in taking the interior to a shop!

I am very disappointed in the two estimates I got for some cement work around the house.
The two contractors who showed up want more to put in a Pad for a Deck extension 30 x 72 as it cost me to build my foundation for my house! I couldn't beleave it. I am forced to do the pad forms with rebar myself and just hire some help to work the concrete.

Other contractors I reached out to for things I wanna do to the rental blew me off! no return calls no messages nothing! must be nice to be so busy you can blow off customers?

Yeah it's just a lot more complicated with the big bolsters. Back seat was a breeze, oh well.

Same deal up here for a number of years, construction is booming. Material prices are through the roof too so even when you do the work it's still crazy expensive. I'm lucky I have most of my buildings finished. Still need to wire and insulate the garage but I have almost all the electrical supplies already.

Woo hoo got my computer back from repair shop!
Nice to have my baby back!

Got a new Solid state hard drive maxed out the Ram replaced the key board and a fan.
$500 later I got a new Laptop basically whole lot cheaper than buying a new one with 17 inch monitor with touch screen.

Cool, nice to have a decent computer. We camped quite a bit this summer, I figured I would have some time on my hands to look stuff up but the WiFi is practically nonexistent everywhere we went.

Got the rear quarter glass in. Need to clean up the front and get it in. I wish it didn't have vent windows. I never liked the look of them.

I go both ways about Vent windows.
There was definitely a time when I disliked but they grow on ya when you just wanna crack a window.
Reminds me I still need to find a new one for my 57 on drivers side it has a crack at the top.
Hope it doesn't take as long to find as the missing trim piece or the Desoto Bumper.
Its frame is made of Pot metal I am gonna try to weld it with that Muggy weld stuff but I don't hold out much hope for it.

I am on the search for a new set of tires for my Vett today some one knifed one of my rear tires. Dam Run flats not gonna be cheap and I am not happy about it.
