Any updates on car?

Finally got MRI for my shoulders MRI reports says Completely shot! Doc still wants to try more Cortisone and more therapy before surgery which isnt a bad thing right now.

Wife's second Back surgery is an uphill battle with our insurance companies total fight real pain. Her back is complete fubar!
This time will be 6 hours to remove what he put in a few months ago as it failed then a day of rest then another 6-8 hr surgery to install new hardware. gets worse from their if it doesn't get fixed now.

No fun both of us needing repair.
I am still working but getting flak from coworkers being on light duty.
Plus looking at lay offs in near future as project has been decommissioned.
NO Fun!

Sorry to hear that. I've been waiting for 2.5 years to get a shot in my frozen shoulder. Took 9 months to get an appointment with the specialist, he said we need an ultrasound, took 18 more months to get that. Finally did so I called to make an appointment but the referral is only good for 6 months so now waiting for another 2 weeks to get an appointment with my GP to get another referral. It's absolutely ridiculous what's going on up here. I guess the only upside is we don't have to argue with insurance companies. Why is the insurance company giving your wife grief? If the doctors recommend it there shouldn't be an issue.

Not much update on the car, it's at my friend's rod shop to sort out the brakes and transmission. Problem is he's got another big project in there so hasn't had a chance to get to it.

I did start doing some bodywork on the TR. Looking forward to getting that going

Here the doctors say they want such and such test insurance runs blocker with a panel of doctors that deny benefits to the patients and get paid big bucks by insurance companeis to deny benefits.

And now because you may have some on raid your medicine cabinet You can no loger get ANY Pain meds in this country NONE! ZERO! NADA! you may get addicted or some poor Drug addict gonna die because your doctor prescribes you pain meds.
No doctor in California OR Nevada will prescribe pain meds

Its no wonder people are turning to the street drugs THEY cant get legit drugs from their doctors!

The **** is way out of control ZERO commonsense ZERO!

Bureaucrats and government Need to stay out of my Medical needs and out of my doctors business! period.

That sounds pretty stupid. I'm not big on pain meds but when you need them you really do need them. My first back surgery they gave me Tylenol 3, may as well have given me Flintstones vitamins, does nothing for real pain.

Well it looks like my transmission is pooched, not sure how bad but it needs to come out which is a bummer. My exhaust leak is a bigger issue than expected, the manifolds don't align with the Eddy heads so it's either getting them machined, if I can find someone or going to headers and hope they work.

Sucks on Transmission I am glad I invested in tooling to do some.
I have done the Turbo 350s and am looking forward to doing my turbo 400s for the Pontiac's & the Plymouth 727 Torque flight. a C4-c6 wouldn't be much harder I would think?
On a side note I studied wifes little transverse v6 tranny F THAT THING!!!!!! too many gotchas in that one, I need to study the **** out of it more b4 trying.

I like the Header idea look on ebay for some of the cheap stainless stuff I really like the ones I got for the Vett of course Pain in the Ars to install BUT zero issues with them fit and finish top notch and I didnt spend an arm and a leg on them.

VW took a big dump today while heading into work totally dead just died going down hi way wont start. plenty of fuel, new fuel pump in tank, new injectors, new cam new timing belt new fuel filter list goes on..... I ordered a 2ndary fuel pump/vacuum pump thing for it but I dont think thats the problem?

I think its the wiring harness and or engine computer maybe? could also be cam or crank shaft sensors maybe I get lucky?

just got home from towing it home tired missed a day of work. Back to driving the Gas Hog Vett

There's diddly squat for room for headers so maybe something like Sanderson makes. I barely got the stock hipo manifolds on. There's those huge shock towers that are in the way. Not a very good design.

Seems like you're always fixing the VW. Must have a lot of miles on it. Might be time to find a newer one.

Thinking of adding a carport onto the back of the shop. Need to get a quote on that. Construction costs are out of control.

Some one has to make a set for it ?

Yup VW is a POS
I would like to find a good used one and use this one for parts.

Since Covid used car prices are out of control

Was able to trim enough off the manifold to get enough clearance to bolt it on tight. The hipo manifolds are really thick casting, they look massive compared to the stock ones so that probably caused the problem, bolting to an aftermarket head. Shouldn't but it did.

Same thing here, not much new car stock and dealers are tacking 10k+ onto MSRP. Trickle down effect is used car prices jumped a bunch. Good time to sell, bad time to buy.

Ya I agree good time to sell still
.I will figure it out, can really only be a few things including engine wire harness.
If I have to I will do it, I am already into it too deep with repairs to turn around now have to drive it.
