Ya I like my Paint Booth too.
Calvin thinks its a Great place to assemble his engines in and it just gives me HIVES!
One its full of Dust in there no matter how much cleaning is done in there, two Hes bringing Oil and Grease into my Paint environment. Drives me NUTS!
I still wanna try those Booth sprays, one that's is a White plastic type coating that you can Peel off. and then that other one the Sticky coating to Trap dust particles, washes off with water.
The BIG project thread

Oh man that would make me nuts, paint booth is no place for oil and grease. But it is mighty bright in there so I can see why he would like it.
Well I hit my first frustration since I got back to it. Fit the newest fender on and the upper profile doesn't match the door, checked it with my gauge and it's way different than the other fender. It's about a 1/4" straighter so I guess I'm going to have to beat some curve into it. Doesn't make sense. Rob

Yikes! that's a lot, That's on the new repop fender or the originals? that needed rust repair?

It's an original fender in near perfect shape, it had a couple of small rust repairs nowhere near the miss shaped part. The rest of the fender below matches the door perfectly. Stupid Mustangs

Might be the Door did you strip it to bare metal? might have been damaged and repaired previously?

Nope, checked both doors and fenders with my profile gauge thing and both doors and left fender are exactly the same, just the new old fender is way out. Just bizarre, and yes everything was down to bare metal. Wonder how Doug's reno is going? Rob

I'm back in town for a Night then I got to go back..
Sounds like the New fender is Junk to me, I would find an original and use the New one for Patches to fix an old one. Dennis B.

No idea what the deal is on the new fender, if it isn't an original it's a really old repop as it has the general wear and tear of a 50 year old fender. Anyway it's been shelfed and I'm back to the old one that I had put a ton of work into. I've been spraying slicksand and sanding. It's slowly getting there.

I've been splitting time between the Stang and my other building that needs finishing. All the sheet metal is getting closer, some is ready for final sanding, some still needs another round of slicksand before final sanding. Slowly getting there, sure hope I have it all painted this summer
Haven't heard from Doug in ages, hope all is well with him and the reno. Rob
