NICE!
I couldn't go back to living without a lift no way worth every dime.
All the Up and down is all a push of a Button. Cant tell you how many time the car goes up and down while I am working on them but it is way to easier too push a button as compared to laying on ground or a creeper and getting up and down off of it.

I got the VW running today took the Brand new Tandom fuel pump off put my original back on (I only changed it because it had 334k miles on it lol ) drove dam thing to gas station got pack of smokes drove it home all smiles! put in drive way for wife to drive for a while.
Got cleaned up told Ollady lets go out to eat! Take VW jump in .....NO START!!!!!! AGAIN!!!
At least I didnt have to tow it home 250 miles!!!

Took the Vett to go eat took my frustration out on it a Bit (Tires dont like me right now!)
For only being 375 hp that thing can be a Blast to drive! Cant wait to build a Bigger engine for it..

The VW I am ready to dump a few gallons of gas on it and throw a Match

Yeah I'm really looking forward to getting it ready to use. Once I get the air lines sorted out I'll need to bolt it down as well. Rolling around on a creeper with your nose practically touching the floor pan is no fun, especially for an old broken guy.
I really like that it has no posts, takes up way less room which I don't have a lot of.

I can't believe your luck with that stupid VW. I'd be taking it to an auto wrecker and having them crush it while I watched

It's supposed to be sunny this week, hope I can get the Stang into the upholstery shop for the roof. Need it done and back home before it snows

I didn't realize you bought it new. Well at least you got every bit of life out of it.

Just talked to my upholstery guy, it's going in Friday for the roof. Supposed to be a sunny day, hopefully a bit above freezing. Looking forward to getting that done and then finally finishing the last few minor things.

This weekend found me dealing with the Vette.
Had several codes in the computer and lights on the dash, One was steering bias malfunction fixed that one then multiple speed sensor issues causing ABS light.
Sensors are bad so ordered all new. Also rebuilt the headlight actuators they were making a grinding noise, took opportunity to change all lights bulbs front and rear.

Speed sensor includes the Wheel bearing Hubs wasn't cheap for all 4. be a week or so b4 they are here so I can install. The rear right bearing was shot wheel moves and clunks when shaken and the left rear isn't too far behind so it didn't bother me having to replace those.

I got the hood and trunk lid back from the blaster. Hood is in good shape but the trunk lid is worse than I expected. I knew it wasn't going to be great. There's a brace that I need to cut a chunk out of and make a new one. It's fixable but a pretty finicky job. The trunk skin has holes in the same area. I might be able to get a replacement. Hopefully that pans out, would save a lot of time and effort. I tried to post a pic of it but it said file invalid? That's happened a few times even though it's exactly the same everything as the other pics that I post successfully.

I hope she's recovered enough for the 2nd surgery and all goes well. I hate going through surgery but well worth it if all goes well and you can get back to a pain free life.

I'm going to build a body cart for the TR, should be good for the next projects as well.

Got some oil canning in the hood so chasing that around with a torch, what a pain. Never seen a hood as flimsy as this. There's no bracing other than the very front and back.

Oil cans are the worst I hate them.
Remember If they got carried away with the Blasting in an area or two. Blasting shrinks the side that gets hit.
So stretching is necessary. A light slapping spoon on Dolley. Very light hits LOTS of them.
Almost like playing the drums, stretches the metal. Just my opinion.

I broke down and started on the Vett hubs got the rears done today will do fronts tomorrow.
Put the rear whel on started the lug nuts by hand then hit them with my impact! Stripped two lug nuts and studs boom that fast.

HA! My dark cloud never strays too far lol !!!!

Yeah it's definitely a pain. Every time I think I have it another area pops up (and down). I think I might have it now but now I have to work on all the high spots from the torch. I will try the dolly and slapper and see if I can even it out a bit. If it wasn't so big I'd try the english wheel.

I've never had that happen to me. My son has several times, he too lives with a dark cloud over his head. No luck but bad luck :knockout:
